Bishop Peak Inn

The Bishop Peak Inn has the finest accommodations on the Central Coast of California.  It features cuisine appropriate to this wine region, emphasizing fresh local ingredients (particularly, seafood, vegetables) and the best local wines.  A special treat is the energetic Welsh Terrier mascot for the Inn, Miss Dilly.

The (only) guest room* features its own private full bath, a king sized bed, a large living area, a private deck, wireless high speed internet, and a private entrance.  It is on a separate floor in the house.  The only sounds are that of distant train whistles, mooing cows, frogs, owls, and crickets (and an occasional coyote).  There are finches, hummingbirds, and a covey of quail on the property  (turkeys, deer, Roadrunners, woodpeckers, Monarch Butterflies, skunks, opossums, gray foxes, and Red Tail Hawks are visitors)  ... and deer and raccoons are around at night.  Power is provided in part by a photovoltaic (solar cell) system; water is heated with a tankless (gas) heater.

Coffee is ready by 7:00 a.m. each day.    Breakfast is typically around 8:00 a.m.  Typically, there are three newspapers available every day (New York Times, Wall Street Journal, San Luis Obispo Tribune).  Dinner is at the Inn or at a local favorite restaurant in San Luis Obispo's welcoming downtown area.  Lunch is often "out in the county" somewhere, depending on the chosen activity (see the Events Page for special occasions or the following for fun:
